Professional Training
Whether the goal is to raise awareness or build capacity, trainings are customized to meet the specific needs of each client. I work collaboratively throughout the entire process to develop content that is relevant to your unique team or group. Trainings deliver key concepts with a focus on practical application so participants walk away with both knowledge and applicable skills. A partial list of training topics is provided below.
Project Innovation and Design
I am dedicated to expanding the impact of social work through project design and implementation. Tackling complex social issues often requires broad coalitions that bring together residents, service providers, governments, private sector, community advocates and others in a collaborative effort to effect change. I am able to help your organization: 1) Identify the needs and gaps in services within the community; 2) Consider a variety of approaches to address the identified need; 3) Determine the best strategy; 4) Establish strategic partnerships; 5) Raise program awareness; and 6) Identify potential funding sources.
Collaborative Legal and Social Services
Legal problems are embedded in a larger social context. Social workers and public interest attorneys often have central goals and values in common, yet, neither attorneys nor social workers have the resources or training to provide holistic, client-centered services. Collaboration between legal and social services, therefore, is increasingly important. Services are available to help enhance communication across professions, or develop an in-house collaborative approach.
